On May 28, 2021, New York City enacted privacy legislation that specifically targets owners of multifamily dwellings. The Tenant Data Privacy Act (TDPA) addresses perceived privacy issues surrounding the use of smart access systems in multi-family dwellings and is modeled, in part, after broader European and California privacy legislation.

Stephen L. Rabinowitz is Co-Chair of the firm's Global Real Estate Practice. He serves as an adviser to a wide variety of private equity funds, asset managers, developers, and institutional and entrepreneurial investors and operators in the acquisition, financing, development, sale and leasing of all classes of commercial properties including multi-family, office, hospitality, and condominium properties.
